Is eDreams Prime worth it? Opodo, GO Voyages, and comparing flights without the fee

eDreams Prime, Opodo Prime, and GO Prime are one subscription sold three ways. Here is the arithmetic against a flight search that pays cashback with no fee.

Is eDreams Prime worth it? Opodo, GO Voyages, and comparing flights without the fee

"Is eDreams Prime worth it?" is the flight search in disguise. The same question arrives as Opodo Prime, GO Prime, and "eDreams alternative." Prime is a renewing fee in exchange for member prices on that company's sites. Holipay is a way to compare flights, pay the provider, and earn cashback without buying the fee first.

The trip ends. A Prime subscription does not, unless you cancel it before the renewal date.

One subscription, three shop windows

eDreams logo eDreams sits inside eDreams ODIGEO with Opodo logo Opodo and GO Voyages. The group describes Prime as the same membership sold through those brands: eDreams Prime, Opodo Prime, and GO Prime. Member prices, offers, and a priority support line are the pitch. From the outside they look like three companies. The fee is one idea.

You generally add Prime while you are booking a flight, and the member price applies to that first purchase. There is not a neat "subscribe later, fly never" switch. The discount you see is a discount off their price. It is not automatically a discount off the airline's price. Write down the carrier's total, with the same bag, before you treat a crossed-out number as money saved.

What the fee costs, and when it charges you again

There is no single global price. eDreams's French help page lists an annual Prime fee of €54.99, renewing automatically, with a 14-day change-of-mind window. Cancel inside that window and the refund of the subscription is reduced by the Prime discount already applied to the booking. Another country, another plan, another year: the figure on the payment screen and in the welcome email is the one that binds you. Ignore a blog that quotes a single euro amount as if it were the law.

Renewal is automatic. If you do not cancel before the current period ends, the fee is charged to the card on the account. The date that matters is the one in the welcome email, not the day you happen to remember the trip.

Prime Plus is a higher tier, and it is still not cash. eDreams's UK help says Prime Plus can cancel for any reason on up to two flights a year, paid as instant refund credit for 80% of the ticket price. The same page says eDreams charges a £25 administration fee per ticket to cancel a flight, unless a Standard or Premium option was selected. Credit and an admin fee both stay inside their system. Read your own market's help page before you rely on either number. They move.

A flight search that does not start with a fee

Holipay compares 500+ airlines and agencies with no markup and no subscription in front of the results. You book on the provider's site. Eligible flights can earn cashback up to a public ceiling of 10%. Most pay less. The result shows an estimate; the wallet shows the confirmed credit after you fly. Payouts are euros, to PayPal or a bank, from €100. A single short-haul credit may wait for a second trip before it clears that floor. Waiting for a threshold is not the same thing as paying a renewal to keep the discount alive.

On a €400 fare the 10% ceiling is €40, and it is a ceiling, not a quote. A partner at 2% is €8. Set that beside a €54.99 fee that saved you €20 against the airline. The fee can be the most expensive line on a one-flight year. The same membership logic, on a different brand, is in Holipay as a WayAway alternative.

A crossed-out fare is a discount off that site's price. Check the airline before you call it a saving.

How to compare the flight Prime is discounting

  1. Search the route on the airline's site. Record the total with the bag you need.
  2. Search the same trip on Holipay cheap flights. Record the fare and the cashback estimate.
  3. Only then open the Prime price on eDreams or Opodo. Subtract it from the airline total. That difference is the saving Prime is selling.
  4. If the saving does not clearly beat the annual fee across the flights you will actually take this year, book the provider through Holipay and skip the box.

A stitched multi-airline itinerary is a separate trap, covered in Kiwi.com vs Holipay. Points that cannot be withdrawn are the Expedia version of this argument, in Holipay vs Expedia.

When Prime is the rational buy

You book several flights a year on eDreams, Opodo, or GO Voyages. You have checked each member price against the airline, not against the crossed-out fare. The gaps, added up, are larger than the fee on the welcome email. You know the renewal date and you will cancel if next year looks thinner. One holiday, one route, one crossed-out price: that is the case Prime is worst at, and it is the case most people are in when they meet the checkbox.

Questions this comparison keeps getting

Is Opodo Prime the same as eDreams Prime?

Same group, same subscription model, different brand. eDreams ODIGEO sells it as eDreams Prime, Opodo Prime, and GO Prime. Compare the fee on the screen in front of you. Do not assume the French €54.99 is your price.

Is eDreams Prime worth it in 2026?

Worth it when member prices, measured against the airline, exceed the fee for the year you will actually fly. Not worth it when the first booking's saving is smaller than the fee, or when you will not notice the renewal. Holipay skips the fee and can pay cashback on the provider fare instead.

Does eDreams Prime renew automatically?

Yes. Cancel before the end of the current period or the card on the account is charged. The welcome email has the amount and the date.

Can I compare flights and earn cashback without Prime?

Yes. Search on Holipay, book the airline or agency, and eligible fares can earn up to 10% back after the partner confirms the trip. PayPal or bank, in euros, from €100. The steps are on how Holipay works.
