The cheapest flight is the cheapest one you can actually take. A base fare that then charges for a cabin bag, a seat, and a card fee can lose to a higher fare that already includes the bag. Holipay compares airlines and agencies and shows the fare in the search, taxes included in the price on the page. The airline can still add the bag at its own checkout. That is not a Holipay fee. It is the part you have to add before you call a fare cheap.
Three prices, not one
- The headline fare. Often a personal item only: a small backpack under the seat. Fine if that is all you travel with.
- The fare plus the cabin bag you meant. On many low-cost airlines this is a separate product, and it can cost more than the gap between two flights.
- The fare plus a checked bag. This is a different trip. Price it on both options or you are comparing a suitcase with a tote.
Holipay does not invent those bag prices, and they change. Read them on the provider before you pay. The page to start from your city is cheap flights. Holipay does not sell the ticket and does not add a markup on the fare it shows.
| You are bringing | Compare |
|---|---|
| A small backpack only | The base fares |
| A cabin wheelie bag | Base fare plus that bag, on each airline |
| A checked suitcase | The checked fare, both ways if it is a return |
What else pretends to be optional
Seat selection, a card fee, and priority boarding are optional until the airline's cheapest path is a middle seat you will not sit in and a payment method you do not have. Add the ones you will actually buy. Ignore the ones you will not. A direct flight that costs €15 more can still be the right ticket. It is just not the cheapest. Cheapest means the lowest total for the trip you will take, including the airport you land at. The bus from the "cheap" airport is part of that total, covered in nearby airports.
Cashback sits on top of an eligible booking. Up to 10% is the ceiling, the amount on the result is an estimate, and it is confirmed after you fly. It will not refund a bag fee the airline charged you later. Withdrawals are in euros, from €100, to PayPal or a bank. No membership. How it works. If you are also choosing one-way or return, price the bag on both shapes: one-way or round trip.
Questions
Does Holipay hide bag fees?
The search shows the fare the providers return. Bags are chosen on the airline or agency checkout. Look there before you pay.
Is a basic fare a bad fare?
Not if you travel with a small bag and accept the rules. It is a bad comparison if you pretend the bag was included.
Can I add the bag later?
Usually yes, and it is often more expensive later than at booking. If you know you need it, buy it with the ticket.
