Momondo will combine an outbound and a return from different suppliers when that lowers the total. That can be real money. The cheapest sort hides two costs
Momondo's cheapest row is a headline fare. It often excludes a cabin bag you will actually take, a seat you will not enjoy being assigned at the gate, and a departure airport that is an hour further than the one you typed. Before you call Holipay expensive, match the airport codes, the bag, and whether the ticket is one contract. A €25 gap that is really a checked bag plus a different airport is not a gap.
Do the same check on Holipay. Cashback on a basic fare that then costs €40 in bags is a worse deal than a slightly higher fare that already includes the bag. The wallet does not refund the bag fee the airline charges you later.
When Momondo is enough
You are still choosing the weekend. You want an alert, not a checkout. You like Mix & Match and you understand you are your own travel agent on the connection. Book there and skip cashback. Holipay is the step after the date is boring and decided.
